Stedi 3mm/6mm Hard Edge Scribing Tape

Straight, even panel lines start with a reliable guide. Stedi's hard edge scribing tape comes as pre-cut transparent strips in 3mm and 6mm widths. Lay a strip along the line you want, run your scriber or chisel against its firm edge, and peel it away without lifting paint or leaving residue.

Key Features

• Hard, precise edge: stiff enough to guide a scriber, chisel or saw blade without the tool wandering.
• Transparent: you can see existing panel lines, rivets and markings underneath for accurate positioning.
• Low adhesion: holds in place while you work and releases cleanly from plastic, resin and painted surfaces.
• Pre-cut strips: consistent width with no need to cut your own guides.

Typical Uses

Rescribing panel lines lost to sanding, adding new panel detail to mecha and aircraft, positioning parts and markings, and acting as a straight edge for cutting thin plastic card.

Available Options

• 3mm + 6mm Set: one pack of each width. You get the fine guide for tight curves and the wider guide for long, straight runs in a single order.
• Rescribe & Line Kit (Tape Set + 3 Panel Liner Pens): the 3mm + 6mm Set plus black, brown and grey Fine Panel Liner Pens. Rescribe the panel line with the tape as your guide, then fill it in with the pens.
• 3mm: for fine detail and tight curves.
• 6mm: a wider, steadier guide for long, straight runs.

Note: the tape and the kit do not include a scriber. If you need one, we carry the 5-in-1 Professional Scriber and the Panel Line Engraver.
