MAZHA T0016 Stay-Wet Palette for Miniatures
Keep your acrylics workable for hours with this MAZHA stay-wet palette. Designed for miniature and scale-model painting, it lets you thin, blend, and layer paints from Vallejo, Citadel, AK, Scale75, and Army Painter without them drying on the palette. The box includes color mixing wells and a brush holder for a tidy workspace.
How a Wet Palette Works
A damp sponge sits in the base, a conductive under-sheet spreads that moisture evenly, and a porous top sheet passes a controlled amount of humidity up to your paint. Assemble one layer of each before adding paint: sponge, then conductive paper, then your chosen top sheet.
The Three Papers
The Osmotic sheet is the standard semi-permeable top surface for everyday acrylics, ideal for keeping layers, glazes, and gradients usable over a long session.
The Oil Film sheet has a more heavily coated surface that passes far less water, so it suits paints you do not want to self-dilute, such as metallics, pearls, Contrast and Speedpaint-style paints, inks, and washes.
The water-conductive paper is an absorbent underlayer that distributes water from the sponge; it sits beneath the top sheet rather than being painted on.
