Madworks Light Advanced Airbrush

A gravity-feed airbrush built around two things modellers actually complain about: nozzles that are fragile and cleaning that takes longer than spraying. The Light answers the first with a bullet nozzle and the second with a quick release needle.

Bullet Nozzle

The bullet type nozzle is a single machined piece rather than a thin screw-in cone, so it resists the bending and cross-threading that kills conventional nozzles. It also seats consistently, which is what keeps the spray pattern symmetrical after a strip down.

Quick Release Needle

The needle comes out from the back without unscrewing a chuck and a handle first. That turns a mid-session color change into a few seconds of work, which in practice means you clean between colors instead of telling yourself the next coat will cover it.

Choosing A Nozzle Size

0.3mm is the general purpose choice: fine enough for mottling, camouflage edges and panel shading, still happy laying a base coat on a mid-sized kit. 0.5mm moves more paint for large areas, primers, heavier metallics and thicker lacquers, and it clogs less with pigment-loaded colors. If this is your only airbrush, take the 0.3mm.
