Unlike soft styrofoam, this high-density blue foam holds fine detail when carved. You can sculpt brick patterns, stone textures, wood planking, or architectural details directly into the surface using a sculpting tool, ballpoint pen, or the pointed accessory of a hot wire cutter.

Tool recommendation: For clean, precise cuts, use a hot wire foam cutter — a regular blade tears the foam and leaves rough edges. The hot wire melts through cleanly and seals the surface as it cuts.
