Guazi Studio BC.01X Mirror Gloss Black Paint

A pre-thinned two-part gloss black from Guazi Studio's Basic Color X series (sold as HAMPAINT), made for builders chasing a deep, wet-look finish straight from the airbrush. Once mixed with its hardener, BC.01X cures to a high-hardness 2H film with a mirror-like shine that stands up to handling, polishing and masking.

• Mirror gloss black: a rich, even black that reads like real automotive paint on car bodies, motorcycle tanks and gloss mecha armor.
• 2H hardness: a tough cured coat that resists fingerprints and tape lift once fully cured.
• Pre-thinned: pour the mixed paint straight into the airbrush cup, no thinner needed.

How to Use

Shake the paint thoroughly. Mix 4 parts paint to 1 part hardener and use the mixture within 2 hours. Spray at 0.1~0.2 MPa (about 15~30 psi) with medium flow and light, sweeping passes.

Important: X series paint must be mixed with its hardener to cure properly. If you are buying the paint alone, make sure you also have the 15ml hardener.

Curing

At room temperature (77°F / 25°C), allow 48~72 hours for a full cure. To speed things up, place parts in a cold oven, then bake once it reaches temperature: 122°F / 50°C for 5 hours, 140°F / 60°C for 3 hours, or 212°F / 100°C for 1 hour. Check that your plastic or resin tolerates the chosen temperature.

Available Options

• 100ml Paint + 2 x 15ml Hardener: one 100ml bottle of paint and two 15ml bottles of hardener. With 30ml of hardener you can mix and cure the whole bottle of paint at the 4:1 ratio.
• 100ml Paint: a refill of BC.01X gloss black. It needs hardener to cure.
• 15ml Hardener: a top-up of hardener.
