YAN Model 1/35 PE Vines

YAN Model PE Vines (PE-35002) in 1/35 scale — complete vine trees etched in fine metal, designed for dioramas where lianas and climbing vegetation are the focus. The vine-specific alternative in our PE plant range, distinct from our fern and leaf products.

Lianas are the long, woody vines that climb up through forest canopies in tropical and temperate climates alike. The PE format captures their irregular, twisting branching detail at scale — far more realistic than scratch-building with wire and putty.

Choose your size:

• Gold Lianas-L: larger vine sheet — dominant vine trees, scenic anchors
• Gold Lianas-S: smaller vine sheet — supplementary detail, undergrowth vines

• Cut from fret with hobby knife or PE scissors
• Attach with CA glue (super glue)

How to use:

1. Cut individual vines from the brass fret with a sharp hobby knife or PE scissors
2. Bend each vine into the irregular, twisting shapes real lianas show
3. Prime with metal primer, then paint with acrylics — brown-grey vine tones with darker shadows
4. Attach to scratch-built tree trunks or scenery elements with CA glue
5. Let some vines hang freely from branches for dramatic, naturalistic placement
