UV Curing Repair Putty for 3D Prints

A light curing patching clay for fixing the flaws a printer leaves behind. Press it into the defect, hit it with a violet light, and it is hard in 10 to 15 seconds, so you can fill, cure and sand a layer gap inside a minute instead of waiting overnight for a two-part filler to go off.

What It Fixes

Layer separation and stringing scars on FDM prints, gaps at a split-part seam, a support scar that tore out surface material, elephant foot on a first layer, and small missing details you would otherwise reprint the whole part for. It also fills pinholes and seams on ordinary styrene kits.

How It Works

Cures at a depth of about 2mm per pass, so deep repairs are built up in layers rather than in one lump. It stays workable indefinitely until the light hits it, which means you can shape and smooth it properly before committing. Once cured it sands, drills and takes primer and paint like the surrounding plastic.

Handling

50g jar. Keep it closed and away from direct sunlight and strong room lighting between uses, since ambient UV will slowly set the surface.
