Madworks NERON Advanced Detail Brush Set

Detail work is where cheap brushes give up: the tip splays, the paint pools, and a two-hour session ends with a wobbly edge line. This Madworks set pairs Kolinsky sable with synthetic nylon so each brush in the case is doing the job its hair is actually good at.

Sable and Nylon

Kolinsky sable holds a fine point and carries a lot of thinned paint, which is what you want for eyes, edge highlights, and long panel lines drawn in one pass. Nylon is stiffer and springs back, so it handles thicker acrylics, drybrushing, and base coats without going limp. Having both in one set means you are not fighting the wrong brush for the job.

What Is In the Set

Five brushes: flat shaders for base coats and broad surfaces, and pointed rounds stepping down to a fine liner tip for the smallest detail. They ship in a slim protective case that keeps the tips from getting crushed in a drawer.

Use and Care

Rinse before the paint starts to set, reshape the tip with your fingers, and store the brushes flat or bristles up. Treated that way, sable holds its point for a long time.

Good For

Gunpla panel work, military miniatures, 28mm and 32mm figures, busts, and any subject where the last ten percent of the paint job is done freehand. Model MD-001, recommended for ages 14 and up.
