1/35 Photoetch Garage / Workshop Tools
A set of hyper-detailed photoetched workshop and garage tools in 1/35 scale — wrenches, hammers, drills, vises, saws, and other shop equipment created in fine brass that scales correctly to military and civilian models.
The level of detail in photoetched tools is genuinely impossible to achieve with thicker plastic or resin alternatives — the photoetch material allows handles, blades, and tool heads to be modeled at their true scale thickness. Use them to populate any workshop, garage, factory, or field repair scene where realistic tool detail matters.
Works great for:
- 1/35 field workshop and field repair dioramas — vehicle maintenance scenes
- Garage and civilian workshop vignettes
- Factory and industrial dioramas
- WWII rear-area scenes — depot maintenance, vehicle repair stations
- Modern military maintenance dioramas — MRAP, Humvee field repairs
- Diorama detail — tools scattered on benches, hanging on walls, on the ground
Key features:
- Wide variety of photoetched tools in one fret
- 1/35 scale — sized for standard military modeling
- Photoetched brass — fine, in-scale detail
- Cut from fret with hobby knife or photoetch scissors
- Assemble with CA glue (super glue) and paint
How to use:
- Cut individual tools from the brass fret with a sharp hobby knife or photoetch scissors
- Prime with metal primer or acrylic primer
- Paint each tool — typically dark metal for blades, wood-tone or coloured for handles
- Wash with a brown or black wash to bring out shadow detail
- Glue to your workshop scene with CA glue
To build a complete workshop scene, combine with our 1/35 resin crates and boxes for parts storage and our 200L barrels for fuel and lubricant containers.
