WW2 Ambush Camouflage Stencil

Reusable metal stencil for WWII ambush camouflage — the period-correct disc pattern adopted by late-war German armor from 1944 onwards. Used across the Panzer family: Panther, Tiger I, Tiger II, and Panzer IV variants on both Eastern and Western fronts.

Reference photographs of period vehicles show this pattern was applied over base camouflage in dark colors (typically dark red-brown or olive green over dark yellow base). This stencil lets you replicate that look at 1/35 scale with airbrush precision rather than freehand approximation.

How to use:

1. Apply the base camouflage colors (dark yellow base, then olive green or red-brown patches)
2. Once fully dry, tape the stencil to the model with masking tape
3. Airbrush a contrasting tone through the disc openings — keep the airbrush distance moderate for the soft-edge look real ambush camo had
4. Reposition and repeat across the model — vary the rotation for natural variation
5. Seal with a matt clear topcoat once the camo is complete

Tip: For maximum variety on a single build, combine this stencil with our German ambush camouflage stencils (AJ0021/AJ0023). Three different disc variants on the same model reads as authentic field application — single-pattern repetition often looks too mechanical.
