1/35 PE Set For German King Tiger Schurzen (Voyager PEA398)
Photoetched brass sideskirts (Schurzen) set for 1/35 Tiger II (King Tiger) models — the Voyager PEA398 set, designed to replace the thick plastic kit-supplied skirts with proper in-scale brass plates that look correct on competition and exhibition builds.
Stock plastic schurzen on Tiger II kits are typically too thick to read as proper steel plates at 1/35 scale — they look molded, not stamped metal. This photoetch set fixes that with brass parts at the right scale thickness. The crisp edges and proper proportions transform the visual quality of any Tiger II build.
Works great for:
- 1/35 Tiger II (King Tiger) detail-up builds
- Pz.Abt.501, Pz.Abt.503, Pz.Abt.505 King Tiger variants
- Pz.Abt.101 SS Heavy Tank Battalion builds
- Late-war German armor — competition and exhibition quality
- Reference-photo recreation — period vehicles with sideskirts
Key features:
- Voyager PEA398 photoetched brass schurzen set
- 1/35 scale — sized for standard Tiger II kits
- Replaces kit-supplied plastic sideskirts with in-scale brass
- Cut from fret with hobby knife or PE scissors
- Assemble with CA glue (super glue)
- Paintable — prime first with metal or acrylic primer
How to fit:
- Remove or cut away the kit-supplied plastic schurzen mounting points if needed
- Cut the brass schurzen sections from the fret with sharp tools
- Test-fit each section against the tank's hull side
- Apply CA glue along the mounting points to secure
- Prime and paint to match the rest of the tank's camouflage
