Deadeyes Precise Assembly Tool

Regular price 2,900 ISK

Rigging deadeyes by hand is fiddly, and it shows. On a wooden model ship the deadeyes that anchor the shrouds sit in a neat row, and the eye catches the smallest slip: one too high, one turned at an angle, uneven gaps down the channel.

This wooden assembly jig holds each deadeye exactly where it should be while you seize the lanyards, so the whole row lines up the first time, on both sides of the hull.

How it works

Drop the deadeyes into the slotted fingers, slide the arm to the spacing you want and lock it in place with the metal knob. The engraved scale lets you set one measurement and repeat it chainplate after chainplate, so every pair matches, port and starboard.

Why it earns a place on the bench

Even, straight rows of deadeyes at consistent height and spacing, with no more eyeballing. Repeatable results you can reproduce on both sides of the hull thanks to the built-in ruler. Faster and less frustrating than clamping, gluing or holding your breath while the seizing sets. And it works with the common wooden deadeye sizes used in ship kits.

Pair it with a set of wooden deadeyes and you have everything you need for clean, professional-looking standing rigging.
