4~500 Mesh Stainless Steel Wire Sheets

Real woven wire mesh gives engine grilles, intake screens, air filters, fences and cages a crisp, see-through look that molded plastic and printed decals cannot match. These 304 stainless steel sheets come in a wide range of mesh counts, from coarse openings for 1/35 fences and mesh guards down to ultra-fine screens for small-scale grilles.

Key Features

The mesh is woven from 304 stainless steel, so it will not rust, holds a clean fold, and can be cut to shape with scissors or a hobby knife. It takes primer and paint well, or can be left bare for a raw metal look. Glue it in place with CA or epoxy.

Choosing a Mesh Count

Mesh count is the number of openings per inch: the higher the number, the finer the screen. Coarse counts (4 to 25) suit fences, cages, stowage baskets and large-scale grilles. Medium counts (30 to 120) work for engine deck screens and radiator grilles in 1/35 and 1/24. Fine counts (180 to 500) read as delicate screens and filters at smaller scales.
