When building a model, you often have to cut thin strips of material.
It can be a strip of styrene sheet, added as a detail to your model, or a thin strip of masking tape, used to mask the canopy of a plane or as a guide for your paint.
Making sure your cut's width is consistent, however, is not an easy feat. Especially when we are speaking of thin strips like a 1mm one etc.
These tools were created for exactly that purpose. With two blades separated 1 or 2mm (depending on the model), you can be sure that any strip you create will have the appropriate width and be maintained throughout the piece.
