High Density Foam Boards

High density foam board designed for scale modeling and scenery — ideal for diorama bases, terrain building, architectural structures, and any project that needs a lightweight material that's easy to cut, carve, and shape.

Unlike regular foam, this high density version holds fine detail when engraved — bricks, stone textures, rock faces, and surface details can be sculpted directly into the surface with a sculpting tool or even the tip of a pen.

Main uses:

• Diorama and vignette bases — lightweight and easy to shape
• Model buildings and architectural structures — use the 2cm thickness for walls and facades
• Terrain building — hills, embankments, rock formations
• Wargaming terrain boards
• Scale model scenery for model railways and dioramas

How to work with it:

• Cut cleanly with our hot wire foam cutter for precise, smooth edges
• Engrave surface textures with sculpting tools or a ballpoint pen
• Paint directly with acrylics — no special primer needed

For building walls and vertical structures, the 2cm thickness is recommended. For bases and terrain with depth, choose 3cm or 5cm.
