Galaxy Model 3D Non-Skid Texture Decals (12 Patterns Available)

Painting a convincing anti-slip deck by hand is slow work, and scribing one is slower still. These hyper-detail decals carry a genuine raised 3D texture, so a strip cut from the sheet gives a ship deck, engine cover or turret roof a tread surface you can feel with a fingernail. Water-slide application means no filler, no sanding and no risk of losing surrounding detail.

Three Tread Patterns

Fine Diagonal reproduces the chevron treadplate found on armour decks and access hatches. Linear gives the straight ribbed non-slip strips used on walkways and ramps. Woven Grid replicates the cross-hatched mesh common on ship superstructure and engine decking.

Four Texture Sizes

Each pattern comes in four relief pitches so you can match the tread to your build: 0.8mm (S), 1.5mm (M), 2mm (L) and 3mm (XL). Smaller pitches suit 1/72 and 1/144 subjects, the larger ones read correctly at 1/35 and above. The reference range runs G48158 to G48169.

Sheet Size and Application

Every sheet measures 207 x 99mm, enough to cover several decks or a full set of hatches. Cut the area you need with a fresh blade, soak briefly in warm water, slide into place and settle with decal solution. Seal with your usual gloss or matt varnish, then weather straight over the top; the raised texture catches a pin wash exactly like moulded plastic.
