1/35 PE Set Of Metal Oak Leaves For Models & Dioramas
Photoetched brass oak leaves for 1/35 dioramas and vignettes — fine in-scale leaves with the distinctive lobed oak shape, designed for woodland scenes, European forest dioramas, autumn settings, and any model where oak trees are the dominant vegetation.
Unlike paper or plastic leaf alternatives that can warp, brittle, or have visible thickness, photoetch brass holds its shape perfectly, can be bent into natural angles, and accepts paint cleanly. The oak leaf shape is one of the most recognizable in European and North American forests — getting it right at scale matters for diorama believability.
Works great for:
- 1/35 European forest and woodland dioramas
- WWII Western Front dioramas — French, Belgian, German woodland scenes
- Autumn-themed dioramas — fallen oak leaves around tree bases
- Tree branch detail — adding leaves to scratch-built or kit tree models
- Diorama scatter detail — fallen leaves on the forest floor
- Custom tree-build projects — populating bare branches
Key features:
- Photoetched brass oak leaves
- 1/35 scale — proportioned for standard military modeling
- Distinctive lobed oak shape
- Cut from fret with hobby knife or PE scissors
- Bendable and shapeable — holds natural curves
- Attach with CA glue (super glue)
How to use:
- Cut individual leaves from the brass fret with a sharp hobby knife or PE scissors
- Bend each leaf slightly into a natural curve — leaves never sit perfectly flat in nature
- Prime with metal primer, then paint with acrylics: greens for spring/summer, yellow-brown/red for autumn
- Glue to tree branches or scatter on the ground with CA glue
- Add weathering pigments to settle into the scene
Tip: For an autumn scene, paint the leaves in 2-3 tones (green, yellow-brown, deep red) and scatter mixed colors — real autumn forests never have uniform color, but always a gradient of tones across the same tree.
