Stedi MS-86 Antistatic Dust Brush

An ordinary brush charges plastic with static as it sweeps, so the dust you just moved lands straight back on the model. The MS-86 uses bristles with a static-dissipating coating: the charge is neutralised as you brush, dust lifts away instead of clinging, and the surface is genuinely clean when you put the brush down.

Why Antistatic Matters Before Painting

Dust trapped under primer shows up as specks in every subsequent coat, and no amount of polishing hides it. A pass over each part before it goes in the spray booth removes both loose particles and the static that holds them, so paint lays down smoother and adhesion improves.

Materials and Build

The handle is aluminium alloy with a brass collar, light enough for long sessions and stiff enough to work into tight crevices. Grey PBT synthetic bristles are soft enough for painted surfaces and finished figures, and they will not scratch a gloss coat or lift a decal.

Replaceable Head

The brush head detaches from the handle, so a worn head costs a fraction of a whole new brush. Keeping a spare also lets you dedicate one head to sanding dust and another to finished display pieces.

Choose Your Option

The MS-86 Brush is the complete tool with one head fitted. The MS-85 Replacement Head is a spare head on its own. The Value Set bundles the MS-86 brush together with an MS-85 spare head, which is the cheaper route if you expect regular use.
