1/35 Photoetch Set Of U.S. Army Weapon Straps

Photoetched brass set of weapon straps, slings, and tie-downs for 1/35 US Army WWII infantry — designed specifically for the iconic American small arms of the Second World War: the M1 Garand rifle, Thompson submachine gun, BAR, and other US Army infantry weapons.

Real weapon slings were made of leather or canvas — items that at 1/35 scale need to look thin to read as believable. Plastic kit parts are usually too thick at this scale. Photoetched brass straps end up at correct in-scale thickness, with crisp edges that paint up beautifully in leather brown or olive drab canvas tones.

How to use:

1. Cut individual parts from the brass fret with a sharp hobby knife or PE scissors
2. Bend straps slightly to follow the curve of the figure or weapon
3. Prime with metal primer or acrylic primer
4. Paint with leather tones (brown) or olive drab canvas for slings; metallic for buckles
5. Glue carefully with small drops of CA glue
